1973: Born January 19,1973 in Queens, NY
1978: Moved to Syosset, NY. Began attending St. Edward the Confessor Grammar School.
1987: Accepted to and attended Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY.
1987-1991: Chaminade High School. Played three Varsity sports; Gymnastics, Ice Hockey and Track.
1989-1991: Played Ice Hockey for Syosset in Division I indoor and outdoor leagues.
1990: Attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 170, Nassau County Council.
1990-1991: Served as Captain of Chaminade Gymnastics Team.
1990-1991: Applied for nomination to United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY. Received nomination from Congressman Norman Lent, and was accepted to USMMA.
1991-1995: Attended United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY. Majored as 'Ship's Officer' whose degree program is a major in Marine Transportation and a minor in Marine Engineering. The major has since been renamed 'Maritime Operations and Technology'.
1991-1995: Member USMMA Division 1A Varsity Rugby Team. Participated in the Waterfront Activities' Sail, Power, and Crew Program, eventually serving as Power Squadron Captain.
1994-1995: Served as Chief Engineer then Captain of the US Merchant Marine Academy Flagship M/V Mariner.
1994-1995: Rebuilt 1980 Jeep CJ-7 from the frame up.
1995: Graduated from the US Merchant Marine Academy with a B.S., a merchant marine officer's license, and a commission from the President of the United States as Ensign in the US Navy.
1995: Applied for an open position on the US Merchant Marine Academy Training Ship T/V Kings Pointer and was chosen over scores of applicants.
1995-1998: Worked at USMMA in the positions of Mate, Assistant Engineer, Tugboat Captain and Marine Mechanic.
1997-2000: Applied and attended Hofstra University's Frank G. Zarb School of Business. Graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in management.
1998: Promoted to Chief Engineer of T/V Kings Pointer. In addition to the responsibilities of Chief Engineer, assumed the responsibilities of a traditional Ship Superintendent and Port Engineer. Also remained responsible for the operation of the Deck Department.
1998: Became member of Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME).
1998-2002: Served as Chief Engineer/Ship Superintendent aboard the T/V Kings Pointer.
1999: Received US Coast Guard Special Operations Ribbon and received the NY State Certificate of Merit from George Pataki for service performed during the recovery efforts of EgyptAir Flight 990.
2001: Became a member of the Council of American Master Mariners (CAMM) and was elected as Port of NY/NJ Chapter Secretary, publisher of the newsletter NxNE, and member of the executive council.
2001: Purchased a house built in 1917 in Locust Valley, NY.
2002: Begin consulting work for a variety of firms.
2002: Became a member of the Marine Society of the City of New York, a charitable and educational organization chartered by King George III in 1770 and comprised entirely of seafarers.
2002: Made trips on the M/V Persistent as Chief Engineer before she was re-christened the T/V State of Michigan.
2002: Accepted the position of Engineering Supervisor at Consolidated Edison of New York in the Distribution Engineering Department of Brooklyn / Queens Electric Operations.
2003: Purchased a 1927 house and moved a few blocks in Locust Valley, NY.
2003: Became a member of IEEE.
2004: Promoted to Operating General Supervisor (Feeder Control Representative) at Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. in the Brooklyn/Queens Energy Control Center.
2005: Promoted to Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy.
2007: Licensed and Registered as Professional Engineer in the State of New York.
2007: Promoted to Manager of Primary Engineering for the Brooklyn and Queens Regions at Consolidated Edison Company of NY, Inc.
2010: Promoted to Commander in the US Navy.
